The blogosphere is abuzz about the idea that a company would discriminate against users of one type of computer vs another. Specifically, Orbitz is detecting the type of computer a visitor is using and changing the search results based on the computer type. Mac users get different results than PC users.
I decided to have a little fun at Orbitz expense and play around with a new tool I found from GoAnimate.com.
Now in all fairness to Orbitz, they are NOT giving Mac users a better deal. They get the same deals as PC users. But the more luxurious accommodations are presented higher in the search results for Mac users than PC users.
