iPad 3G in the car

Here are some cool things I was able to do with my iPad while riding in the car (riding - not driving).
1. Stream a Netflix movie. The quality isn't as good as when on WiFi but performance was good. It wasn't jittery and the audio didn't get out of sync. Certainly not high def, but definitely watchable.
2. Type this blog.
3. Run Quickbooks Simple Start 2010. Don't get excited. Intuit did not release a Quickbook app for the iPad. I used the Log Me In app to remote control a Windows 7 PC I had installed the Quickbooks demo on. It worked great. Amazing performance over 3G. Below are a couple of screenshots.
4. Along those same lines, I can remote control any computer that has the LogMeIn client installed. That includes servers. I can RC a server and fix a problem with Active Directory or RC a PC and help a client with their email.
A couple of other notes of interest:
1. I can't use my polarizing sun glasses and see the iPad. I had to switch back to my regular glasses. (this is important to know if you wear prescription sun glasses like I do)
2. Always carry a microfiber cleaning cloth with you. The iPad screen picks up fingerprints and dust like crazy.
