I’ve used a bunch of Calendar apps but mostly I use the Calendar App that comes with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I used to try and sync with Google to share calendars and stuff, but that sync was never rock solid. BusyCal was pretty good for a while, but when Apple added sharing for MobileMe users, I switched back to that.
One thing I don’t like is adding appointments. Its not bad, it just requires more clicks than you’d think it should. Its not a very “Apple-like” experience.
So the guys at Flexibits came out with a lightweight little Mac app called FantastiCAL that adds a lot of polish to Calendar. And it works with OS X Calendar, Entourage or Outlook.

I use Instant Messaging to work with colleagues a lot. In fact, since I mostly work from my home office, IM is critical to my ability to communicate and get projects done.
I use Evernote on my Mac every day. I use it to keep notes on projects, tasks, activities and just about everything else I would otherwise write in a notebook. It syncs automatically, so my laptop always has all my notes. I can also access and take notes on my iPhone or iPad.
I get terrible radio reception in my car, especially AM. This app figures out where you are, what all the radio stations in your area are, and then presents them in a radio-dial like way. It streams the data from those stations over the Internet (watch out if you don’t have an unlimited data plan). Cellular data (3G) works better than AM over-the-air.
